About Us

Mahatma Gandhi Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya is a new feather added to flying wing of “Muktiniketan” a reputed Ngo having its Central Office at Katoria in the district of Banka (Bihar). Since the emergence of Muktiniketan years back on 21st January 1985, it has identified itself with the rural problems, ignorance and social unawareness of the people, agricultural and economic backwardness and illiteracy of the mass.In the reply to these challenging conditions it has been rendering relentless and inconsistent services to upgrade and uplift the rural position whereby the rural Indian can be at its best and soul residing therein is purged of its dust and dirt. The living and guiding spirit behind such multidimensional initiatives and optimistic & result.

Our vision is to develop ‘Student Teachers of strength, optimism, and justice, contributing to an equitable world for all’. Through our focus on positive psychology, we strive to help our students discover their own strengths and how to harness these to find a greater sense of engagement, flow, and meaning, so as to optimize their learning and their experiences both within and beyond the classroom. We encourage our Student Teachers to see strengths in each other and teach them how to foster good relationships. We also work to help our students establish helpful thinking patterns and develop a positive self-concept. We seek to foster strength of character through cultivating resilience, the capacity to persevere in the face of challenge and developing tenacity in the pursuit of their goals.

Our Facilities

Conference Hall

The AC Conference Hall is equipped with the latest technology based LCD Projector, DVD Player and Television for special occasions and for conducting seminars and workshops. In short, it is doubled up to become a well-furnished Boardroom.

Computer Lab

The college has a well furnished and fully equipped air conditioned Computer Laboratory with Computers. Students are provided with the specialized training program to prepare CAI presentations.

Library

The library of the college is spacious and computerized. It is well equipped with reference books, journals, and periodicals.The scope of the collections reflects the commitment to advanced study in education and its various dimensions.

Playground

The college campus has a playground which is used on several occasions. The Annual Sports Meet is conducted every year with several field and track events.
